FAQ.
So, what should you look for in a sUAS pilot?
Certification -
First and foremost, when hiring a drone pilot to capture aerial photography for your business or organization, it’s required you work with a pilot certified by the FAA. Not only that, they also need to follow all rules and regulations. Read about your liability below.
Artistic Ability -
An ability to frame up attractive images with the versatility to be used in many configurations in your marketing materials and capture the viewer’s attention. Your pilot has to be able to both fly and capture photos you’ll be thrilled to share.
Technical Skill -
Editing is where the magic happens. It can take a great image to the next level by incorporating colors that are both exciting and realistic while using a variety of editing techniques to manage bright sunlight without preventing blown out highlights or deep shadows. Your photographer should be able to edit photos in a way that they present true to life in an almost unrealistically beautiful way.
That is why it's easier for a photographer to become a drone pilot than for a drone pilot to become a photographer - Your pilot needs to be certified, have artistic ability and the technical skill to deliver.
