Challenge

Fostoria's new website needed to prove, at a glance, that the city is a place businesses want to be. That meant moving past a purely industrial pitch to show workforce development, community amenities, and housing — the full picture companies weigh when deciding where to set up shop.

Goal

Create a hero video for the homepage that activates visitors within seconds and demonstrates the amount of action in Fostoria, Ohio. The video needed to balance industrial prowess with schools, parks, golfing, and neighborhoods, giving businesses a complete read on what the city offers. The resulting footage would also serve as a reusable asset library for grant applications and future marketing.

Approach

A comprehensive shot list was built from verified local intelligence on Fostoria's infrastructure, industry, and community assets, then narrowed to the locations with the strongest visual and strategic payoff. Aerial capture was scheduled for peak conditions to maximize clarity and production value, then edited into a concise, high-energy sequence built to hold attention and hammer the message home in the first few seconds of a homepage visit.

Outcome

Fostoria walked away with a hero video built specifically for their homepage and a full aerial library now fueling grant applications and marketing materials beyond the site.

A couple of flags worth your eye before this goes live: the Outcome still leans on "walked away with" as a placeholder for a real result — if you have anything concrete (client reaction, site launch, video actually live), swap it in for more credibility. And I used "aerial library" instead of "library of exciting aerials" since "exciting" was doing some unearned lifting there.
